100 years (version #2)

This past Thursday I spend about 3 hours looking at this amazing exhibition that Performa 09 is presenting as part of the festival at P.S 1.

I need to go back because I could not finish watching all the amazing archives that they have put together.

I really think this exhibition is a fantastic opportunity for any performance artist to connect references. It is great to see many of the most influential performance artist in one place and I think there is not many opportunities like this one in town.

Go before is finished!!! it is truly inspiring!

100 Years (Version #2)

On the occasion of Performa 09, an exhibition drafting a short history of actions, events, situations, happenings, and performances beginning with the Futurist manifesto in 1909 and continuing to the present. “100 Years (Version #2)” represents an exciting collaboration between MoMA and P.S.1 with Performa in New York and the Julia Stoschek Foundation in Dusseldorf. For each version to come of this exhibition as it tours, work–ranging from artistic gesture to viewer participation–can be added to or subtracted from, or include a greater local emphasis, depending on where the exhibition takes place.

Organized by P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center in collaboration with Performa. Co-curated by Klaus Biesenbach and RoseLee Goldberg. Made possible by The Annual Exhibition Fund at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center and with generous support from Julia Stoschek Foundation.

FREE – with entry to P.S.1
