Morning Class with Joanna Kotze Cancelled January 23

Unfortunately the ice and fog have stuck Joanna in another state. Believe us, and her, that she would much rather be here teaching! She’ll definitely be here to teach on Wednesday morning. We will be canceling class on Monday morning, but hope to see you tomorrow night at Judson, and in class every other day this week!

K.J. Holmes Saturday classes for this season end on May 22

Hi Everyone! We found a small mistake in our calendars. The wonderful Athletics of Intimacy/Improvisations class with K.J. Holmes will go on summer hiatus one week earlier than announced. The last class will be Saturday May 22nd, 11am-1pm, Eden’s Expressway. Be there!

Classes still happening 2/25

Hello everyone. As of 8am on 2/25 there are no class cancellations. Irene Hultman and Barbara Mahler are teaching as scheduled from 10am-12pm. Enjoy your journey through the big snowflakes on your way to class this morning!

Updates on Classes Week of February 15 – 21

K.J. Holmes is away February 20 and 27. Olive Bieringa will sub on February 20, and Daria Faïn will sub on February 27. Olive’s class description is below, and Daria’s will be posted soon.

Also we are sorry to say that Iréne Hultman was suddenly sick this morning and had to cancel class. We anticipate that class will be on for Thursday, February 18. Check here on the blog and in the left side of the classes and workshops calendar for updates. Feel better Iréne!

Participants are invited to enter their animal-like appetites and childlike curiosities for physical investigation through engagement of the sensorial body. Training the body in heightened sensory awareness, weight bearing partnering skills and improvisation utilizing tools from Body-Mind Centering® to understand self and increase our physical potential.

Alexander Class Cancelled 2/10/10

Hello everyone! Due to the snow and school cancellations affecting our faculty, Alexander Technique class is cancelled for February 10th. Raquel will miss you all and looks forward to seeing you on the 17th!

Extra Special Happenings Jan 30 and Feb 6

K.J. Holmes is teaching 2 more yoga classes to benefit the amazing work of Partners in Health in Haiti. Classes are Saturdays, January 30 and February 6, 9:30-10:30am. Minimum donation is $10. Movement Research at Eden’s Expressway, 537 Broadway, 4th Floor. (Studio opens at 9am)
