Julieta Cervantes will be an ongoing presence documenting many aspects of the festival from a unique and internal point of view. Audiences will be able to view her continuing unedited process as the festival progresses – performance images including dress rehearsal photos will be screened before each night’s scheduled events.

TWO PERFORMANCES IN HONOR OF JUDSON

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 29 & 30, 2010
8:00 PM AT JUDSON, TICKETS $20 (students/seniors $10) with work by Toby ARMOUR, Arthur AVILES, Remy CHARLIP, Malcolm GOLDSTEIN, Aileen PASSLOFF, Yvonne RAINER, Carolee SCHNEEMAN, Emma-Grace SKOVE-EPES, and Elaine SUMMERS.

“A Sanctuary for the Arts: Judson Memorial Church and the Avant-Garde 1954-1977” runs from October 28, 2010 to January 7, 2011 at the Fales Archive in the NYU Library. The exhibit will explore the synergies between the artists who performed at Judson Memorial Church in the 1960s and 70s and the church ministry and congregation.

We’re thrilled to let you know that Jennifer Monson & Yvonne Meier will perform together as a special addition to the Movement Research at the Judson Church Series. The evening will also feature performances by Molly Lieber & Eleanor Smith, Gio, and Jillian Peña (a 2009 Movement Research Artist-in-Residence). January 4, 2009 at 8pm.
