Miriam Wolf is a Movement Research Artist-in-Residence 2010. As a Brooklyn based artist, she has shown work throughout New York and beyond. Most recently, in May of 2010, her project in our days of burning was presented by Dixon Place. Since 2008, she has also been a member of The Summit-a collaborative effort between a sculptor, video artist, glassblower and herself. She has been a space grant awardee through Brooklyn Arts Exchange and The Field, and a visiting artist/resident to White Oak Plantation, through New Dance Alliance. She has collaborated and performed to acclaim with artists including Natalie Green, Daniel Linehan, Andrew Dinwiddie, and Sam Kim. Ms. Wolf is most interested in creating emotionally stimulating work by engaging and focusing on the extremes of her brain’s capability to communicate simultaneously with both her verbal and physical body during performance. In addition, she is a Thai massage practioner, yoga teacher, and has spoken softly on NPR. warmhandswarmheart@gmail.com
